One day trip in Formentera

Formentera has approximately eighty-three kilometres of surface and about sixty-nine of coastline. Although it is the smallest inhabited island of the Balearic Islands, if you only have one day to see it, you will have to pick and choose what to see, since you won’t have time to see everything.

But don’t worry because you’re going to love it and you already have the perfect excuse to visit us again: Visit all the places you missed the first time! When you arrive at the port of La Savina look for our Formotor office to pick up your vehicle. Ask us for a map to be able to locate where you are, start the engine and make the most out of this one day trip on wheels!

So that you don’t miss one of the great wonders, the first thing is to go to Ses Illetes Beach; walk, swim, dive, sunbathe. You might even want to stay there all day…

Then, the perfect thing is to go to the other end of the island, the most authentic and quiet, towards Pilar de la Mola, make a technical stop at Es Caló, it has a super nice pier.

Follow the route and as you go up to the highest area of the island you will be able to admire the landscape;  you will arrive at Pilar de la Mola, a very charming town, very quiet and personal, don’t miss the hippie market and the lighthouse.

Now you are already at the other end of the island,it’s time to retrace your steps, so we suggest you take another swim in one of the beaches or coves that you will find on the way, choose any one and enjoy the surprise, they all have their charm .

As a last stop before returning to the port to leave the vehicle and take the ferry, you can go to Cap de Barbaria, this lighthouse has been the scene of movies and novels, its surroundings and the narrow road to reach it leave no one indifferent. Nearby there is a cave, you can go down and enjoy the horizon.
