What to do in Formentera: Es Pujols

The village of Es Pujols, in the northern part of Formentera, is the most tourist town on the island.

For what it offers, for tourists and residents alike, countless services of all kinds: hotels, bars, restaurants, shops, street markets, nightclubs, leisure activities, beautiful beaches …

But let’s not rush and go step by step.

DURING THE DAY

You can enjoy its wonderful beach with crystal clear waters and beautiful turquoise tones with areas for swimming, diving or snorkelling.

Different bars and restaurants are lined up along its promenade, so you can spend a perfect day at the beach without having to take anything with you. The Bocasalina, the Tahiti Beach or the Sa Palmera restaurant are good options to enjoy a good meal with family or friends on the seashore.

Oh! Also on the beach is the restaurant Chez Gerdi, which has become famous on social networks for its van with the letters of Formentera on it, appearing in many photos.

And on the sand, there is only one “chiringuito”, People, with good views, a very quiet atmosphere and delicious dishes.

EXCURSIONS

Taking a walk to the left of the People, you come to a point where you can snorkel. And skirting the beautiful hotel on it, you get to the beach of the Germans. An almost virgin cove of transparent waters, without chiringuitos and hardly any tourism.

And just to the other side, on the right hand of the beach and past the Chez Gerdi you can do a short trekking along the coast until you reach some caves and a watchtower.

AT NIGHT

The village fills with colour and heat during the summer nights.

A popular flea market along the promenade is the best excuse to go for a night walk. Also live music concerts are held in the town square, with different styles and rhythms but with the same good energy and entertainment and fun.

And if there is still energy left you can continue the night in one of the village’s bars or clubs, well set with tourists and locals.

For all this and much more, Es Pujols is a very good option if you want to spend a few days in Formentera making the most of the island.
