Today we want to talk to you about one of the best beaches in Formentera. It is located in the west and besides being one of the smallest of the island, it only measures approximately 140 metres, it is also one of the most beautiful, with a stunning pure natural beauty.

If you are coming soon to Formentera or have just arrived we recommend you prepare your trip and make plans in advance so you do not miss anything of our wonderful island and so that you can visit its villages, street markets, lighthouses and beaches. Depending on the days and the time you have you can enjoy everything and live the best moments of each place.

For that reason, we recommend you go to Cala Saona early in the morning , so you make sure you find a good spot. This is important because during high season, midsummer, the truth is that it is really very full of people.

However if you are lucky enough to visit us at another time of the year you can have this beautiful cove for yourself and enjoy its sand and its crystalline waters in a different way (although you will also enjoy it midsummer, even with more people it’s always worth going to Cala Saona)

It is located between two cliffs, which makes it very special because once you are there you feel surrounded by them with the sea and the horizon in front, a beautiful landscape that will not leave you indifferent.

It is a cove that you can go with friends, with your family or alone, it is ideal to spend a morning, afternoon or even the whole day, you will like it so much that you will want to come back (there is a reason for it being a favourite between residents and tourists).

You get there from the village of Sant Francesc, at the height of Cap de Barbería (which we recommend you also visit)  you will find the detour, but it is important that you take a map of the island with you so that you can situate yourself at all times, you will find that travelling Formentera is really easy and comfortable.
