Here are the next events taking place in Formentera from this month until the end of the year. (Any information we share is subject to change).

 

Events in Formentera for 2021

We can enjoy various exhibitions at the Cultural Space in the lighthouse of La Mola throughout the year.  Besides the permanent exhibition with the sea as the protagonist you can also enjoy temporary art exhibitions.

April 30th, May 1st and 2nd: II Formentera Open Fotosub Apnea, a competition for lovers of photography and freediving.

May 15th and 16th: Formentera All Round Trail. A 76 km race that runs along the coast of Formentera. The 40.5 km Half Round Formentera Trail is held the same days and on the next day the 21 km “Tros de Fart”.

May 12th to 16th:  Formentera Film. Short films, videoart and documentaries. A festival under the stars, videos, workshops, artistic performances, music and famous people in different parts of the island.

May 27th to 30th; Formentera 2.0. An event for lovers of the digital world. Talks, debates on communication, creativity, marketing, social media, branding, content, big data …

Formentera Jazz festival will be held in June. The energy, art and music of emerging and established artists from the local, national and international scene come together in this musical event and Formentera Film Festival. A free and independent event for outdoor moviegoers that takes place every year in a secret place on the island. A tribute to cinema outside commercial channels with some true classics.

Astronomical Formentera will open in September. An event focused on the observation and knowledge of the stars and planets of our galaxy, taking advantage of the low light pollution of the island.

October 8th: Formentera Half Marathon. One of the most important running events, a race so beautiful that it attracts hundreds of runners from all over Spain and abroad.
