One of the most frequent questions people who visit Formentera have is about the best vehicle to travel the island. The good news is that both motorcycle and car  rental are ideal for Formentera.

The first thing we want to highlight is that in order to tour the island and discover all its corners it is very important to have a vehicle. And as we have said before, both the motorcycle and the car rental are perfect.

The choice will be conditioned by different factors such as:

Who are you traveling with?

It can be with several children, with just one, with an elderly person or someone with some limitation, with the whole family, with your partner, by yourself, with a group of friends, maybe three or four, several families… If you come with children, we recommend you opt for one car or several, spending on the number of people traveling.

How many people are traveling?

If you are an odd number,  you can all go together in a car, if you are an even number, you can go in pairs on motorcycles. If there are, for example, six people, you can take a car and a motorcycle and rotate between you if you are excited to tour the island trying different vehicles. Or if you are two families with children you can rent two cars.

What time of the year?

It is not the same to travel in spring than in autumn, mid winter or mid July. You already know that cars have air conditioning or heating to make the heat or cold more bearable, motorcycles, on the other hand, are easier to drive in high season and easier to park.

Have you ever ridden a motorcycle?

If the answer is yes, go ahead. If the answer is no, our recommendation is that you opt for a car since riding  a motorcycle for the first time in unknown terrain and also on vacation might not be the best option. Motorcycles are safe vehicles as long as you have control over them and we do not want our customers to have any unwanted surprises.
