Christmas has arrived in Formentera. Although its beaches and the summer months make the island so seductive, in the winter months Formentera can also be enjoyed, in a different way.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is time to go on long walks, to discover new paths and to meet the villagers.<\/span><\/p>\n

During these days before Christmas we can enjoy various activities in its villages, to encourage both residents and tourists to leave home and share pleasant moments with neighbours and friends.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Christmas market, not to be missed, is located in the Plaza de Sant Francesc. From November 30th to January 9th the stalls will be full of Christmas. You no longer have an excuse to not give an original and handmade gift this Christmas.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Christmas market is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and from 5 p.m. to 12 p.m., with \u00a0live music concerts performed by local bands to warm up the cool nights.<\/span><\/p>\n

And to boost purchases at the stalls, they will draw five “Compra en Casa\u201d (Buy at home) cards valued at \u20ac 100 each.<\/span><\/p>\n

Besides the market, in the Plaza de Sant Francesc, there will be a space for the true protagonists of these festivities, children.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout Christmas, there will be different games and workshops, such as face painting and makeup, for children up to 14 years old. Every afternoon, except on Sundays, between 5.30 pm and 7.30 pm.<\/span><\/p>\n

And for children and adults, you will find the typical holiday activities: Christmas carols, hot chocolate, Christmas workshops, folk dances, plays, the classic living nativity scene, a window dressing contest… and lots of music.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

On Saturday, December 15th, you can not miss the “Nit de concerts” (Concert night), in which Ram\u00f3n MIrabet and the band Proyecte Mut will give warmth to the town of Sant Ferran starting at 10.30. pm<\/span><\/p>\n

And not be missed, the arrival of the Three Kings of Orient on January 5th, in a cavalcade that will end at La Mola where some gifts will be distributed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Formentera is a small island but it will be impossible for you to get bored this Christmas with all the activities prepared for these days.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
