So, here we go:

LA SAVINA

As soon as you get to Formentera, you will be greeted by the town of La Savina, since the harbour is located there.

Here you can find hotels, restaurants, a variety of bars, ice cream shops … and it will be where, almost certainly, you will rent a vehicle to move around Formentera, be it a car, motorcycle or bicycle.

In summer most of Formentera’s transport companies have temporary offices in the port. And out of season, you can also find some rental companies that open throughout the year, such as Formotor.

To spend a day in Formentera without moving far from the port (and to forget about driving), it is best to rent a bike and go to the beach of Illetas, which is quite close to the town. Also, the walk to the beach is really beautiful.

EL PILAR DE LA MOLA

Located on a plateau, 12 kilometREs from the port of La Savina and in the highest point of the island, the Pilar de la Mola is a quiet village with a population of around 1000 inhabitants.
It is famous for its lighthouse and the spectacular cliffs that accompany it, as well as for its flea market, which fills the area with colour and good atmosphere every Wednesday and Sunday.
The village is made up of small shops and restaurants, and history has left them with precious gifts such as the Church of the Virgen del Pilar, the Molí Vell and the Camí de Sa Pujada.
An ideal place to disconnect, a sanctuary of peace and tranquillity within the paradise of Formentera.

SANT FERRAN DE SES ROQUES

This little village has all the magic of the hippy Formentera, since these were its first settlers and those who made Sant Ferran a unique place. Such was the tranquillity (and good vibes) that they found in this place that they stayed here to live.
La Fonda Pepe, which is already mythical, was the meeting place of the town. If their walls spoke, they would tell us an infinite number of stories, with such special characters as Bob Dylan or the band Pink Floyd.
Today, and in the summer months, the town square is filled with music and live concerts, which remind us of the essence of those unique years.

Pictures: holidaysinformentera.com

After the success of our previous post ‘Charming villages of Formentera Part 1‘, we know that you are dying to […]

[69
84,93,121,132,122,123,94,103,95,96
post-13659","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-what-to-see","tag-formentera","tag-formentera-familia","tag-formentera-turism","tag-formentera-villages","tag-formentera-with-family","tag-kids-formentera","tag-playas-formentera","tag-pueblos-formentera","tag-turismo-formentera","tag-vacaciones-formentera
["GET
